This year, we (Jeroen, Xavier and myself) participated for the first time in Microsofts Imagine Cup in the category Game Development.
We got through the first round, through the second round, but unfortunately not in the finals. But we managed to get in the top 20 teams. If you know we started with over 500 teams worldwide, this is a very good result.
Our game is about a robot, called Bash, which had been captured by the bad guys and needs to escape and try and go save its creator, professor Niblit.
We completely worked out the first level of the game.
The game is written in XNA 2.0, with the C# language.
We used some extern libraries like the XNA Animation Component Library and the XNA DirectShow Video Player.
We had some troubles to get our animated 3D models working, but we have found a solution described over here: How to export an animated skinned 3D model ...
You can download the game at the View Project link on the right.
You'll need the have a DirectX 9 compatible graphics card, and the following software:
What do I need to make XNA Framework games run on other computers?
We also have a game manual, which you can find over here:
Bash Instruction Kit.
